NAGA Guqin Event

观湖揽日落,携琴会知音

Touring lakes, watching sunsets, and playing the qin with close friends

Lake Chabot, August 12th, 2006

As promised, NAGA is organizing numerous summer outings in natural settings. After successful visits to the Lotus Gardens in Modesto and the Hayward Japanese Gardens we are off again (visit http://www.guqin.org/ for reports on these past events). Reports and photos on NAGA's recent events are available online at http://www.chineseculture.net/guqin/newsletter.html.

Join us on Saturday August 12th, when we will enjoy the scenery and wildlife of Lake Chabot in the East Bay. The theme for this outing is ¡°观湖揽日落,携琴会知音¡±(Touring lakes and watching sunsets, and playing the qin with close friends). We have a full day of sun and fun planned with a boat ride on the lake, dinner, some time to relax and view the sunset, and for those who still have the energy, a music gathering. NAGA is chartering a tour boat, but space is limited so reservations are required. We are giving priority to NAGA members and their friends. Respond early to secure available spaces. See details on pricing and itinerary below. For more information about Lake Chabot and for directions, go to: http://www.ebparks.org/parks/lakechab.htm. You may want to wear a hat, bring sunscreen and plenty of water, and, of course, your camera.
